How much SPAM really cost?

Here's the math:

If it takes an employee two seconds to delete each SPAM (look at the SUBJECT line, decide its SPAM, delete).

75 SPAMs per day.

If an employee's hourly rate is $15.00 per hour.

75 SPAMS x 2(seconds) = 150 seconds or 12.5 minutes per week.

In this basic example, SPAM costs $12.50 for each employee per month.

We didn't calculate the wasted time, if the employee actually reads several of the messages or follows any link in a message. The time INCREASES greatly.

Also, not factored into the math, is any downtime associated with a virus infection obtained through email.
